Psalms‬ ‭143:10‬ Daily Devotional

“Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.”

‭‭– ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭143:10‬ ‭

Observations:

It’s important to note here that the writer of this psalm indicates that they don’t always know how to do God’s will. Can you relate? He’s faithful to teach you, though because he is our God. How does he accomplish this? Through his Spirit leading us.

Applications:

I can easily get caught up in “analysis paralysis” thinking, “Is this what God wants me to do?” Do you? Instead of getting caught up in that thought cycle, let’s pray, “Teach me to do your will through this situation.” No matter what we do, let’s do it for the Lord. When we work, work as if you’re working for the Lord. When you volunteer, do it for the Lord. When you give, do it for the Lord. As long as you’re doing whatever you’re doing for the Lord, he will be faithful to teach you to do his will in that. He has given us his Spirit to lead us in those moments of faith and of doubt.

Prayer:

I repeat what the psalmist says, “Teach me to do your will.” Everything I do, I want to do it for you and only you. Lead me and guide me in your way so I can do just that. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
