Ephesians 6:11 Daily Devotional
Paul, the author, is using war language here. That tells me that he views this as a sort of spiritual warfare, so we should too.
It’s important that we’re prepared to take on whatever the devil may throw at us. We can do this by spending time with God on a daily basis, praying, and through worship. Make no mistake, though, the devil is a defeated foe. Jesus has already overcome, so we don’t need to be afraid.
Jesus, thank you for overcoming sin and the grave for me. Help me to live my life in confidence knowing that no matter what the enemy tries to throw my way, you are in control. I no longer need to be afraid. It’s in your name I pray, amen.
