Job 19:25 Daily Devotional
It’s an understatement to say Job was having a tough time when he said this. It should be encouraging to us, though, that even in the midst of Job’s greatest trials, he could look forward to the coming of Jesus and his future salvation. He knew that no matter what happened, his life was in the hands of his redeemer.
We can take courage from Job’s account. It’s unlikely that anyone reading this is going through a similar level of disaster Job went through, so we can take his cue in how we worship the Lord. Let’s look forward to what he’s going to do in the future while not ignoring what he’s doing within us now.
Thank you for the example of Job. Help me to model my response to trials in the same way. I want to be ever optimistic knowing that the best is yet to come. As long as I have breath in my lungs, you aren’t done with me. Thank you for that truth. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
