Romans 13:10 Devotional

Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Romans 13:10

Observations:

This verse is an echo of Jesus’ discussion about the most important commandment. Instead of 600+ rules places on the Jewish people, loving your neighbor sums them all up. You even love God by loving your neighbor.

Applications:

We can love our neighbors by serving them. We can also pray for them, but beyond that, it means being involved in their lives. Not in a nosy kind of way, but in a loving and present type of way.

Prayer:

Give me the courage required to love my neighbors. You’ve put the people around me for a reason, and I don’t want to take that for granted. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
