Hebrews 13:16 Daily Devotional
The author of Hebrews is reminding us to be good to and take care of one another. God is pleased when we make sacrifices to help each other out.
There are a few ways we can apply this verse. For example, being generous is an application of this verse. Sharing what we have without condition, without seeking anything in return, is a form of generosity. Serving one another is another application of the verse. Take some time to help someone out. This could be as simple as helping someone move to something more substantial in helping someone seek professional help for a concern they have. When you take the time to help, give money, or serve others, God is please.
Jesus, help me to see opportunities to do good and to share with others. I want to be known as a generous person who is always looking out for others. Grow me in generosity, not just with money but with time as well. Help me to focus my time on what really matters: taking care of your people. It’s in your name I pray, amen.
