Psalms 37:4 Daily Devotional

“Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”

Psalms‬ ‭37:4‬‬

There’s an order to this. The desires of my heart don’t come until I take delight in the Lord. He doesn’t withhold anything good from me, but there’s nothing good that doesn’t come from Jesus. When I put my trust and find my joy in him, I will see the desires of my heart come to pass.

Psalms 37:4 Devotional Applications:

Trust God. He will take care of you. There’s no good thing that he withholds from you, so find your joy in him. You can do this through prayer, gratitude, and serving others.

Help me to put my trust in you alone. I want my joy to be found in you, not just so I can achieve the desires of my heart. I want to use that trust and joy to serve those around me. I can only do that in your strength, so I ask for that strength. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
