Psalms 107:1 Daily Devotional
The psalmist is calling us together to be grateful for who the Lord is and what he has done. The reasons we are given are: God is good and his love never ends. Both are very good reasons to be grateful.
This verse is a call to action. Because the Lord is good, we give thanks. I keep a daily gratitude journal where I write down three to five things that I’m grateful for at the end of the day. This helps me stay focused on the good that’s happening in my life. I encourage you to keep the same kind of journal. Feel free to reflect weekly instead of daily to start off, and ease your way into it. You can also use your prayer time to talk to God about the things you’re thankful for. Whatever it is, I encourage you to start today.
Thank you, Jesus, that your love does last forever. There’s nothing I can say or do that will cause you to love me any less. Help me to always express my gratitude to you no matter what I’m going through. It’s in your name I pray, amen.
