Romans 8:26 Daily Devotional
Romans 8:26 Devotional:
When we are weak or fall short, the Spirit is there to help us. Paul gives an example about prayer in the second half of the verse. I often don’t know what to pray for, so it’s encouraging that the Spirit is praying for me on my behalf. Because of that, I can rest assured that my needs will be taken care of, even when I don’t have the words to ask for what I need.
Accept the Spirit’s help. I know there’s often a strong desire to be independent and do some things on your own, but it’s important to rely on the Spirit. By all means, pray for what you want and what you need, but just know that you can count on the Holy Spirit to pick up your slack. Receive that.
I thank you for always interceding on my behalf. When I don’t know what or how to pray, you fill in the gaps for me. Help me to understand when my part is done and when your part begins. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
