How to Give Glory to God [Ephesians 3:20-21 Daily Devotional]
“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.”
What is this verse about?
The Apostle Paul wrote this letter to the church he planted in Ephesus. This passage is teaching the Ephesians (and now us) where the glory really belongs. Because God is able to do more than we can ask or imagine, we must give him glory. Giving God glory is the only proper response to all he’s done for us.
How to Give Glory to God
There are a few ways you can give glory to God:
- The first is through gratitude. Thanking God for the things he’s done for you is a great starting point to giving glory to God.
- The second is through praise and worship. Out of the overflow of your gratitude, sing as a response to God’s goodness in your life.
- The third is through big prayers. We know God can do anything, and he can do more than we could ask for or imagine, so pray big prayers! Make your needs and desires known to God and see what he’ll do.
- The last way is through serving others. When we serve the ones Jesus loves, we serve him. When we serve Jesus, it’s sure to bring him glory.
Jesus, you are glorious. I’m thankful for everything you’ve done and continue to do in my life. Help me to bring you glory each day through gratitude, worship, prayer, and serving. It’s in your name I pray, amen.
