Do Not Lose Heart [2 Corinthians 4:16 Daily Devotional]
What is 2 Corinthians 4:16 about?
This is encouragement from Paul to his church in Corinth. During this time, they must have been undergoing some serious trials, but Paul wanted them to remain courageous and encouraged. He writes that, even though things aren’t going well, each day we are renewed through Jesus’s love for us.
Do Not Lose Heart
The same encouragement that Paul gives to his church in Corinth still applies to you today. Things may not look like they’re going well, but have courage and don’t lose heart because Jesus is for you. When you’re feeling overwhelmed, take some time to pray and ask the Lord to move on your behalf. If you’re feeling tired, get some extra sleep because the Lord provides sleep to his beloved. And in the feelings of worthlessness and valuelessness, go out and serve your neighbors because that’s how you truly fulfill God’s call on your life.
Father, thank you for renewing me day by day. Help me to see how you’re operating in my life, and give me the courage to lean into what you’re doing. Help me to know what to pray about and how to serve, and give me rest as I focus on your goodness. It’s in Jesus’s name I pray, amen.
