Be Steadfast [Isaiah 26:3 Daily Devotional]
The Prophet Isaiah is writing about God’s peace. He’s trying to communicate that when we trust the Lord and remain in him, we will experience perfect peace. Though the worldly things may try and sow chaos to interrupt that peace, those who keep their mind on the things of God will overcome by his grace.
To be steadfast, you’ll need to rely on God. You can do this through prayer and by spending time with him every day. You don’t have to pray for 3 hours every day and fast for weeks at a time to experience the Lord. All it takes is a dedicated 5-10 minutes every day. Use that time to set your mind on Christ and what he’s done for you. Write out what you’re grateful for, pray for the things that you still need, and listen for a little while. You’ll be amazed at how God will speak to you through this time. You’ll quickly start developing the trust and perseverance that the ancient prophet, Isaiah, wrote about all those years ago.
Father, thank you for the ability to persevere through trials and chaos. Help me to see you moving in every area of my life. Give me the strength to press on and experience the perfect peace you have for me. It’s in Jesus’s name I pray, amen.
